Ashtead

Darren, who lives in Ashtead, was allocated his first call of the day to a blocked surface water drain outside Marks & Spencer in Dorking.

When he arrived early that morning, surface water was backing up and creating a nuisance for shoppers and pedestrians. After a quick investigation, Darren traced the problem to a substantial drainage run at the rear of the properties, where the blockage was restricting the flow.

Using ASL’s specialist jetting equipment, the blockage was cleared within the hour, restoring the drainage system to full working order. Once everything was flowing freely again, we washed down the affected area, removed the safety cones, and made sure the public could use the walkway safely once more.

The customer was pleased with the quick response, and shoppers were able to carry on without having to dodge standing water or, as we like to say, “without needing their wellington boots!”
