Gerry was called out to a blocked drain in Cookham Dean, near Maidenhead. The initial blockage was dealt with fairly quickly, and once the drains were running again, Gerry carried out our complimentary CCTV look-see to check what was happening further through the system.

What looked like a straightforward blocked drain turned out to be a much bigger problem. There was a massive amount of rainwater and roof water entering the private drainage system. Over time, this had saturated the land drains in the rear garden and they were no longer working effectively.

Following the inspection, we recommended upgrading the existing private system to a modern Treatment Plant and replacing the failed land drains, along with dealing with the rainwater problem so the new system would not suffer in the same way. The customer accepted our recommendations and the work was eventually carried out.

This became a substantial job. Getting the machinery and materials into the property, removing and disposing of the excess spoil and coordinating the different stages required a considerable amount of planning. The installation went very successfully. The site was reinstated and the customer was left with a properly planned private drainage system for the future.
