Wokingham

A customer on Maidenhead Road, Wokingham, rang us one afternoon with a serious drainage problem. The whole private drainage system was full to the top with sewage and wastewater. Another drainage company had already attended and, because the job needed a sewage suction tanker, recommended that the customer contact ASL.

We arranged our tanker for 8am the following morning, accompanied by a couple of our operators, including Gerry.

Once on site, we found the system was working, but extremely slowly because of restrictions. There were also no proper inspection chamber covers. Paving slabs had simply been placed over parts of the septic tank and chambers.

Using our powerful suction tanker together with high-pressure water jetting, we removed the sewage, cleaned through the drainage system and cleared the restrictions. During the work we also removed a surprising amount of debris, including logs, broken branches and twigs.

Proper lids were then fitted where required, leaving the system accessible and much safer for future inspection and maintenance.

By the time we had finished, the customer had a working drainage system again, plus quite a pile of logs and debris showing just how much had found its way into it.
