This customer called us because their private drainage system was filling up far too quickly and needed emptying more often than it should.

As we carry our own trailers, diggers and equipment, we were able to start investigating straight away. Once we exposed the drainage, we found an old inspection chamber hidden just a couple of inches below the ground. The cover had broken, allowing surface water to pour directly into the drainage system whenever it rained.

Further upstream we also discovered root intrusion through a damaged section of pipe, which was adding to the problem.

We photographed everything, explained our findings to the customer, and provided a full report with our recommendations so they could make an informed decision on the permanent repairs.

In the meantime, because ASL has its own fleet of tankers, we were also able to arrange a reduced-price scheduled emptying service to keep the system working until the repairs could be carried out.
